MT. LAUREL, NJ—September 8, 2026—Fast Company announced its Best Workplaces for Innovators 2026 list, recognizing businesses that are creating cultures where innovation can thrive at every level. LaborFirst placed in the highly competitive North America category along with 21 other honorees such as Bose, Chipotle, and Lenovo.

LaborFirst is recognized for empowering its people to be innovative and fully develop new solutions that support members and their families. Fast Company judges were impressed by the rapid creation and launch of LaborFirst’s newest solution, RetireeFirst for Individuals.
As a growing number of retirees were about to lose access to group retiree coverage and advocacy services, the team at LaborFirst identified an urgent need. Working within a tight 35-day timeframe, they designed an offering that provided individual Medicare plan options with LaborFirst’s enrollment support and high-touch Member Advocacy Services. To stand up the new solution, LaborFirst invested in technology platforms, licensing, training, and operational infrastructure.
