Our individual retiree solution is designed for unions and employers that currently offer either group retiree coverage or no retiree coverage, and now wish to provide individual Medicare options. RetireeFirst for Individuals provides a trusted pathway to ensure retirees receive the guidance, advocacy, and support they deserve.
Unions and employers that don’t offer retiree health coverage can still offer award-winning healthcare navigation and advocacy through RetireeFirst for Individuals. Our personalized support comes at no cost* to you or your retiree members.
*Advocacy services are provided at no additional cost when enrollment is completed through LaborFirst. Standard Medicare premiums, deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance still apply.
RetireeFirst for Individuals is a comprehensive solution built on three pillars: Transition Strategy, Enrollment, and Advocacy. We partner with you—and your broker or consultant—to strategize a seamless transition with personalized enrollment support and member advocacy.
We begin by understanding the client’s goals, budget, and retiree population. We design the transition approach with you, potentially including a compliant HRA structure for budget predictability, and a tailored communications strategy so retirees feel informed and supported as they prepare for enrollment.
We guide members through enrolling in individual Medicare Advantage and Supplement plans across a broad range of leading carriers*. During a personalized session, a licensed and appointed agent will review members’ doctors and prescriptions to ensure they choose coverage with the right network and drug benefits.
*We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Your retirees may contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of their options.
Our Retiree HRA Administration delivers customized strategies and flexible funding options, ensuring each union and employer has a solution designed to fit their unique goals. We can help retirees set up and easily apply tax-free dollars toward monthly premiums and, where applicable, coinsurance.
During the enrollment appointment, a licensed and appointed agent engages the member in a one-on-one, personalized session to navigate the individual Medicare exchange. Our agents are experts in the available regional and national plans and use retiree-specific information, like doctors, prescriptions, and dual-residence for snowbirds, to evaluate plan options that offer the right network and drug benefit. We assess current drug utilization to help identify the most cost-effective options and identify relevant plan choices.
Unlike other services that end after enrollment, we continue to support members throughout coverage—answering questions, solving issues, and making sure they get the most from their benefits.
